报告题目The Derivation of Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations From Quantum Many-Body Evolution

报告摘要 The rigorous justication of mean-field type equations (Boltzmann, Vlasov-Poisson, nonlinear Schrödinger...) from the many-body systems they are supposed to describe is a vast and fundamental subject. Since the Nobel Prize winning first observation of Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC), the investigation of this new state of matter and thus the nonlinear Schrödinger equation has become a research hot spot and seen vast developments in recent years. This is the 1st talk in a series of three talks. In this 1st talk, we survey the mathematical achievements in the field and discuss the most recent advancement which is the proof of such derivations in the energy-critical setting.

报告人简介: 旭文,美国罗切斯特大学副教授,曾于2012年取得美国马里兰大学博士学位,2012年至2015年在美国布朗大学从事助理研究员研究。主要研究方向为量子多体问题,解决了该领域若干个重要的数学问题。近年来在Inventiones MathematicaeJournal of the European Mathematical SocietyCommunications in Mathematical Physics Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis 等国际一流学术刊物发表论文二十余篇。
